Relationships Australia NSW and ACON are running group programs to support LGBTIQ people in overcoming domestic violence in safe, non-judgemental and inclusive spaces.
Blue Skies: Surviving Abuse is an 8-session support group for partners who have experienced violence from an intimate partner. The group will support participants in understanding violent and abusive behaviour and learn about safe and respectful relationships. It also helps strengthen attitudes and skills necessary to develop respectful, fair and loving relationships. A supportive component for children is also offered.
All clients are required to attend two individual assessment sessions with a Relationships Australia Counsellor, prior to admission into this group. No referral is necessary.
