Surviving Adolescence Parent Program (4-sessions)

Surviving Adolescence is a 4-session program designed for parents and carers to better cope with the challenges associated with parenting an adolescent.

The group will help parents and carers to find better ways to deal with conflict with their adolescent children and encourage them to consider the kind of relationship they would like to share with their young people as they move towards adulthood.

Topics discussed include:

  • Understanding how it feels to be an adolescent
  • The stages of development in adolescence
  • How to approach conflict situations with an adolescent
  • Expectations that are placed on adolescents and the impact of this.
