CHC51015 Diploma
of Counselling

Who is it for?

This qualification reflects the role of counsellors, who work with clients on personal and psychological issues using established counselling modalities.  Students will develop their own Integrative Approach to counselling through face-to-face intensives*, interaction and guidance from practice leaders within Relationships Australia South Australia (RASA). Relationships Australia NSW delivers this qualification in partnership with Australian Institute of Social Relations, RTO 102358 (the training division of Relationships Australia South Australia Ltd).

What will it be like?

Rather than providing a ‘one size fit for all’ counselling style, we enable students to develop their own unique style of counselling incorporating:

  • Personal qualities, skills and strengths
  • Knowledge gained through life experiences, work roles and prior studies
  • Preferences to therapeutic counselling styles, skills and techniques
  • The skills and knowledge required to complete this program with a flexible therapeutic framework
  • The skills and knowledge required to undertake general counselling work
  • High level communication in a range of commonly used modalities

Training is delivered via self-paced, online activities and assessment with classroom facilitated learning. All students have access to interactive texts and a course facilitator for ongoing support.
