If you are looking for assistance to link you and your family with local services, Western Sydney Family Referral Service assists vulnerable families, young people and children to cope in difficult times and will be able to link you with services and support networks to meet your needs.
Forced Adoption Support Service
The Forced Adoption service was set up following the government apology in 2013 to people affected by forced adoption policies and practices. These include mothers, fathers, adopted people and extended family members.
Kidspace
Kidspace is an 8 session group for 5 to 12 year olds who have experienced violence in their families. Parents and children will be guided to improve communication, minimise conflict and build stronger relationships through discussion, games and activities designed to encourage support and cooperation. Families also benefit from meeting and engaging with other families who are experiencing similar challenges.
Wattle Place
Wattle Place provides support services specifically for, Forgotten Australians, anyone who experienced institutional or other out-of-home care as children, people of the Stolen Generations, Former Child Migrants who were placed in institutional or other out-of-home care and people seeking support with understanding the National Redress Scheme.
