If you or someone you know is separated or in the process of separating, our Family Relationship Centres (FRC) can help. We provide a safe and confidential environment where families can access information and support and where appropriate family dispute resolution (mediation).
Western Sydney Family Referral Service
If you are looking for assistance to link you and your family with local services, Western Sydney Family Referral Service assists vulnerable families, young people and children to cope in difficult times and will be able to link you with services and support networks to meet your needs.
Parenting After Separation-Focus on kids
Parenting after Separation is a group for separated parents and carers who want to learn more about how they can best support their child through the process of family separation. The group will help you to learn more about managing your ongoing relationship with a former partner and to reduce conflict, whilst supporting your children during this transition.
ICP, which is often shortened to Collaborative Practice is like mediation but with a team. We will work together with you and your former spouse or partner, providing assistance in making arrangements for children, and sorting out financial and property matters.
RAPS -Adolescent Mediation and Family Therapy
Do you have difficulties in resolving family relationship issues as a parent with your teenager? RAPS works with teenagers and their families to provide customised solutions that will work for both the young person and the family.
Relationships Australia Mediation Service supports people who are separating to resolve disagreements related to parenting and property matters. It enables people to resolve disagreements and to jointly develop property and/or parenting agreements for the future.
Children’s Contact Service
Our Children’s Contact Service provides support for children and their separated parents to build and maintain secure relationships through supervised contact visits. It also offers a place for the safe transfer of children between separated parents and/or carers.
Kids In Care
Kid in Care is a 6-8 session group for parents whose children are not in their care. The group helps parents to deal with the grief and loss experienced when their children are in out of home care and explores positive strategies for dealing with their circumstances.
Making Stepfamilies Work
Making Stepfamilies Work is a 1-session seminar for couples in a stepfamily relationship or for those considering forming a stepfamily. It supports couples to explore the changes that come in forming a stepfamily and work towards strengthening relationships in the family.
Parenting Order Programs (POP)
Parenting Order Program (POP) is particularly useful if you are experiencing conflict in adhering to parenting orders made by the court, or as agreed with your former partner in an outside court settlement. This program will assist you to reduce conflict and stay focused on your children's needs.
Managing After Separation
Managing After Separation is an 8-session group for people who have recently separated and would like support to move forward in a positive way. The group aims to help participants to focus on their future and re-establish feelings of worth and hope.
Men and Relationships
Men and Relationships is an 8-session group for men who may have experienced difficulties in their relationships and want to work on building open, respectful connections with partners, family and friends.
This empowering workshop, run by Relationships Australia staff at the Blacktown Women and Girls’ Health Centre, is for women who are interested in gaining the skills and support needed to achieve and maintain their goals.
Connected Kids and Families
Connected Kids and Families is aimed at parents and children aged 7-12 years. This fun, activity based group aims to build closer connections, improve communication, minimise conflict and build stronger relationships between children and their parents.
Do you have limited time to spend with your children? As a parent do you need the opportunity to learn and develop parenting skills? The Supported playgroup offers a secure, child-friendly environment with large play rooms, plenty of outdoor space for team sports and activities.
Managing Strong Emotions
Managing Strong Emotions is a 6-session group for people who are seeking support to better deal with strong emotions that may be causing issues in their relationships. This type of emotion may include anger, grief or jealousy.
