As a member of the Children's Contact Service team you will provide a crucial, neutral, and child-focused environment that allows separated families to build and maintain meaningful relationships. Your critical work will involve supervising and monitoring both contact visits and the safe transfer of children between separated parents or carers.
You will be the pillar of stability in high-conflict situations, including those involving court orders or Apprehended Violence Orders (AVOs), ensuring the child’s safety is the top priority at all times.
Key Roles in our Children’s Contact Service:
- Support Worker
- Program Support Worker
- Team Leader of Children’s Contact Service.
We offer full time and part time opportunities at our Blacktown, Penrith, Gosford and Broadmeadow centres.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are highly desirable; candidates currently working toward their qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated understanding of the impact of family separation, domestic violence, and conflict on children and young people.
“It’s a really dynamic space, full of opportunities for change and healing. For me, it’s still in the service of women and children – in the hope that if men can be healthier, safer fathers and partners, then women and children will have space to heal and be free from harm.”
Sally - Team Leader, Family Safety
