When using our services, you have a right to:
- Clear information about our services, how they can help you, and how you can access them.
- An opportunity to be listened to and actively involved in decisions about your service goals.
- Details about other services and supports we can refer you to if appropriate for your needs.
- Respectful, judgement-free, and high-quality services provided by our qualified and experienced staff.
- A safe, welcoming, and accessible environment and facilities.
- Confidentiality and privacy, unless required by law to disclose information (e.g., if there is a risk to your safety or the safety of others).
- The ability to make a complaint and expect a prompt, fair, and sensitive response. You can also provide feedback at any time.
- Transparent information on how we manage your privacy, why we keep certain information about you, and how and when you can access it.
When using our services, you have a responsibility to:
- Share relevant information to help us accurately assess your needs and provide the best possible service.
- Avoid attending appointments under the influence of drugs or alcohol, behaving aggressively or abusively, or sexually harassing our staff or others. Relationships Australia NSW reserves the right to suspend or withdraw services in response to such behaviours.
- Not record any part of a session or interaction with our staff or other clients. Please switch off your mobile phone during your session.
- Keep your appointments or inform us at least two working days in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule.
- Reschedule your appointment if you are unwell or have been exposed to an illness that could be passed on to others.
- Make childcare arrangements prior to attending your appointments.
- Pay service fees at the time of your appointment (where applicable). If you are experiencing difficulty with fee payments, please discuss this with our staff.
