Overview

Who It's For

Circle of Security is for parents and carers of children aged 0 to 12 years old who would like to develop secure relationship bonds with their children to help them thrive.

How We Help

Our facilitators will help you identify the ways children signal their need for greater connection and emotional support, and how you can meet those needs effectively. Secure children have higher self-esteem and are kinder to those around them.

What to Expect

Weekly workshops are held online for eight to 12 participants. Through information, group discussions, self-reflection, and goal setting, you’ll see how your child’s behaviour reflects their needs, and build skills to support those needs during the easy times, and the hard ones.

FAQs

Our group workshops are perfect for those looking to build their relationship skills in a safe, supportive and collaborative group environment, led by our expert facilitators. We cover a huge range of topics, from parenting techniques to developing mental wellbeing practices – and offer groups throughout the year, both online and face-to-face.
Currently, our clients may wait up to 8 weeks for an assessment to determine service suitability. After the assessment, there is an additional 3–6-month wait to start a group program. While we recognise this is not ideal, we are committed to offering the best service possible within our capacity at this time.
Our group programs generally run during NSW public school terms. Clients on the waitlist will be offered a spot based on their position, with the scheduled program dates and times provided upon availability.
If you’re unable to attend a session, please contact our client services team by calling 1300 364 277 or emailing us, and we will let your Group Leaders know. Please note – for those who’ve been court-ordered to attend one of our group programs (such as our Men’s Behaviour Change program), participants must attend at least 80% of the workshop’s scheduled sessions in order to receive a statement of attendance.
Some of our parenting programs allow partners to participate together. However, due to our commitment to privacy and confidentiality, the inquiry and assessment processes must be completed individually.
To cancel or reschedule your phone session, please contact us by email. If you miss the appointment and don’t reach out within four weeks, you will be removed from the waitlist.
If you miss your phone appointment, please contact us at groups@ransw.org.au to reschedule. If we don’t hear from you within four weeks, your name will be removed from the waitlist.
Fees are discussed during the group assessment session and vary based on program length and your income. We strive to make our services accessible, and fees can be waived for clients facing financial hardship. Full fee waivers are also available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Payment is required in full to confirm your enrolment. Payment instructions will be provided once you email your acceptance of a spot in the group.
Group program payments are non-refundable if you decide not to attend or wish to reschedule. However, if we cancel the group, a full refund will be provided.
We do not accept third-party enrolments. Please encourage your client to contact us directly at groups@ransw.org.au or by calling 1300 364 277 to discuss our services.
