Meet our friendly staff
Wattle Place has 20 staff who specialise in supporting people with childhood experiences of institutional and foster care and people impacted by forced adoptions. They understand the ongoing impacts that those experiences can continue to have throughout life, and provide non-judgemental, compassionate and empathetic support. Our staff are strong advocates for people with past experiences of institutional and foster care, and forced adoptions, and are here to help you navigate life. We hope that when you visit Wattle Place, it’s like visiting a friend’s home. We provide a warm and relaxed environment, where you can get together with others who understand what you’ve experienced, join in with some enriching activities, or just hang out and chat with our pet cat, Wattle. As a State-wide service, our friendly staff also offer a number of our services over the phone, via email and through coordination with other services.
“I was grateful for the help and the understanding of the things that I went through in my life & have very much appreciated their understanding and support. I’ll always be thankful to Wattle Place.”
