Supported Playgroup
Who is it for?
Do you have limited time to spend with your children? As a parent do you need the opportunity to learn and develop parenting skills? Our supported playgroup may be an option for you
You will need to meet with our staff before you join the group, to assess suitability for participation. You will also be required to attend an approved parenting program prior to participating in the playgroup. The approved parenting program could include our Parenting After Separation, Circle of Security programs or Anglicare’s Engage 4 Dads program.
What will it be like?
The playgroup is run from Quakers Hill, and offers a secure, child-friendly environment with large play rooms, plenty of outdoor space for team sports and activities.
Key outcomes
- Clarify your problems.
- Gain new perspectives.
- Work through change.
How can it help me?
Supported playgroup provides parents with an opportunity to meet other families in similar situations, learn about parenting topics such as discipline, child development and helping children manage emotions. The program also offers Story Time which helps to develop reading skills in your child, and help them to kick-start their learning journey
